Evaluation of book of a 100...
My work changed a lot throughout this brief. It started out with the idea of making a book with pictures of locks on nets of boxes and ended up being a book with advice on how to keep your property safe.
I think i could have researched more into the content of the book, i feel like i started something good by doing questionaires and asking people about how they keep their valuables safe but i didn't explore it to it's full potential.
The images i used in the book could have been more clear to see but i like that they aren't. Hopefully it reflects the fact that as the burglar shouldn't break into the house the viewer shouldn't be seeing the next page properly. I think it's more visually interesting this way rather then a straight forward photo.
I tried to make sure the book kept the viewer interested throughout however i don't think i accomplished this very well. The book has no narration, no beginning middle and end therefore it doesn't make the viewer want to keep going through it so much. I think what makes the reader want to continue the book most are the visuals and the fact i've used more then one stock.
I could have experimented with different bindings of books but the japanese seemed the simplest to use. Like the book its straight forward letting the reader dive straight into the book.
If i was to change anything i would have developed my ideas more, researching more and taking it further to find its full potential. I could have experimented with different types of printing like i tried different types of stock.
